Victoria's Secret sells lingerie in an inappropriate and immoral manner and therefore contributes to the sexual objectification of women and the desensitization of moral sensibilities. Victoria's Secret distributes a magazine which is essentially soft porn. Their so-called "fashion show" has allowed the broadcast of pornographic imagery on public television. (Victoria's Secret did cancel the event for 2004 because of the Janet Jackson incident, although they have not indicated that this action is permanent.) Their sexualized advertisements in wall and window displays in malls across America are seen by millions of American children everyday. The ADA has campaigned in Michigan malls against the use of indecent wall and window displays. Because mall stores which DO NOT use indecent advertisement stand to lose revenue because of those that do, tremendous pressure can be applied to stores that do. We encourage you put such pressure on your local mall. If you are interested, please contact us at (231) 924-4050 and we will help as best as we are able.
